Marni is named after Marni Pont O'Doherty, who was a senior vice president and banking analyst at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods in New York City. Marni was also well known in the Rick Springfield fan community (and that's how I met her). She was a victim of the terrorist attacks on 9/11/2001.
